Terms of use

Effective date: October 9, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Three Little Geese LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"), which makes the app "Part 107 Test Prep by the Book" (the "app"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own study, as allowed by the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy the question bank, republish or resell the questions or explanations, or use them to build another product. You may not try to get around the subscription.

Apple's standard licence agreement also applies to copies from the App Store.

2. A study aid, not the FAA's test

The app is an independent study aid for the FAA Part 107 remote pilot knowledge test. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration. Its questions are original practice questions written from public federal sources. They are not actual test questions, and the practice exam is not the FAA's test. The practice exam has the length, time limit and pass mark of the real test; its questions are the app's own. Its figures include figures from the FAA's Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement and excerpts of FAA sectional charts, but the images the FAA uses on the actual test may be different ones.

3. No guarantee of passing

We do not promise that you will pass the knowledge test, reach any score, or receive a certificate. How you do on the app's practice exam does not predict your result on the FAA's test.

4. Accuracy and corrections

Every question cites the federal source it was written from, and each was checked against the federal source it cites, in a second pass separate from the one that wrote it. Errors are possible, and rules change. The federal source itself is always the authority: if the app and the current rule or federal publication disagree, follow the rule or publication.

If you think a question, answer, explanation or figure is wrong, use "Report a problem with this question" in the app, or email [email protected] with the wording of the question and what you believe is wrong. Every report is checked against the source, and what is wrong is corrected in an update.

The chart excerpts, weather reports, airport pages and other figures in the app are for study only. They are excerpts, they may be out of date, and they must not be used for navigation, flight planning or any real flight. For a real flight, use current official charts and information and follow the current rules.

6. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

The app is free to download. The free sample has 40 questions, a 20-question, 40-minute practice exam drawn from them, 5 lessons with their 70 flashcards, and the whole glossary. You may take the sample's practice exam as often as you like. A subscription unlocks all 831 questions, the full practice exam, all 31 lessons and all 429 flashcards, plus the readiness score and the day-by-day study plan.

Purchases are handled by Apple under its own terms.

7. Refunds

Bought in the App Store

Apple takes the payment, so refunds are requested from and decided by Apple. We cannot issue a refund ourselves for an App Store purchase. The support page says where to ask. If Apple sends you back to us, email us and we will help as far as the store lets us.

Nothing in this section takes away a right to a refund or to cancel that the law where you live gives you.

8. Intellectual property

The questions, answer choices, explanations and original drawings in the app, and the app's design and code, are original works that belong to us. All rights are reserved except the licence in section 1.

Figures taken from the FAA's Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement and from FAA sectional charts are works of the United States government. We claim no ownership of them. "FAA" is used only to describe the test and the government's documents.

9. The app is provided "as is"

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be free of errors or always available. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither we nor our members, managers, employees or agents are liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, test fees, retest fees or lost opportunities, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability, and theirs, to you for all claims about the app is limited to the amount you paid for a subscription to the app in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. We are responsible for the app and its content, for maintenance and support, and for dealing with any claim about the app, including claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property. Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app.

Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's usage rules allow. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

You confirm that you are not located in a country that is under a United States government embargo or designated by it as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data agreement.

12. Who may use the app

The app is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, use the app and buy a subscription only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

13. Changes

We may update the app and these terms. We will post new terms on this page and change the effective date. If you keep using the app after the new terms take effect, you accept them. We may stop offering the app; if we do, subscriptions will not renew.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any rights you have under the consumer protection law of the place where you live remain in place. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
